The Stafford: Re-energizing OTR at 13th and Walnut

In Community, Design, Featured OTR Listings, Homes For Sale, Selling

The Stafford includes 11 1-BR condo units and 2,600 square feet of ground floor commercial space. The site of the historic Stafford buildings is centrally located between Vine and Main Streets, and the return of the ground floor to active commercial space will attract much-needed foot traffic to this block of OTR. The location is close to the streetcar route and Vine Street attractions, as well as the new Downtown Kroger (coming in summer 2019). And with convenient access to both Washington and Ziegler Parks, The Stafford is ideally located for food, fun, and recreation.

Construction began in January 2017. Thoughtful historic features such as exposed brick were carefully preserved and renovated. The central position of the staircase in the 35 E 13th Street building allowed for a strategic architectural decision to design unique “micro-condo” units rather than rebuild the staircase itself.

The finished product is a fresh, modern, yet historic design, with open spaces that feel larger than the square footage would imply. We are excited to offer the condos at The Stafford as an option for buyers looking for a smaller space in OTR. The Stafford is definitely worth a visit – contact us to schedule a showing!
